Monica and Brandon Wedding Cake
This Wedding Cake was made for Monica and Brandon for their Wedding. They love the Nightmare Before Christmas and wanted to incorporate that into their Wedding Theme. Originally, they wanted the figures from the movie to be placed as cake toppers, but they were too heavy and big, so they opted to have them off to the side of the cake.
I actually really love the look of the twigs and birds on their wedding cake. I had help from a lady putting on the twigs. I think I would have done it a little differently, but when you have help from someone you don't know, it makes it hard. I do appreciate the help though. I am very happy with how it turned out though.

Flareon the Pokemon
I made this cake for a good friend of mine, whose niece absolutely loves Flareon. It turned out so cute! This is what my friend said about the cake:
"MY NIECE LOVED, LOVED, LOVED THE CAKE! She didn't want to let us cut it - as I predicted, but finally did. It was delicious! She was blown away that Aunt Jan knew her favorite Pokemon was Flareon! Once again, an amazing job Sheree!"

Bayside Band Logo
I made this cake for a friend's neice who turned 17 and loves the band Bayside. When I delivered this cake, I got the best reaction from my friend and I think I love that part of what I do just as much as creating the cakes. I love to see the excitement on your face when the cake is done. It is so rewarding!

Purse Cake for the Relief Society Birthday Dinner
Here is the Purse cake that I made for the Relief Society Birthday Dinner. It turned out really cute. The only thing I really didn't like about it was the fact that it was vanilla frosting on my yummy homemade chocolate cake. I needed the frosting to be pink, so vanilla was the way to go. I think I will experiment with making a white chocolate frosting because it just doesn't taste as good with vanilla frosting. Besides that it was great!! The flower was the perfect touch!!
Purse Cake (with fondant)
I wanted to try fondant instead of frosting because I felt that the fondant would give the purse a more 'real' look. I made marshmallow fondant and felt pretty confident in it, but not confident enough to use it of the Relief Society Birthday Cake that I made. This was a test. I think it turned out great, but couldn't get the fondant to be perfectly smooth, which is only to be expected being my first fondant cake. I definitely want more practice with fondant. It just happened to be Mother's Day weekend when I made this practice cake, so it turned out great! My family loved it!!

Welcome to my blog!
I have had to so much response from the cakes that I have made and am so grateful for all of you! Thank you for your support! I will be updating all pictures of the cakes that I create on this blog. I would love your comments and suggestions.
I have always wanted to do fun cakes for my son, Michael, who just turned three. I really out did myself for his 2nd birthday by making a Thomas the Train cake. Since then, I have to do something fun.
For Michael's 3rd birthday, I decided to do a monkey because he is a monkey. By posting pictures on my facebook, I got a huge response. I ended up making a Curious George cake, a dinosaur, a penguin & a rose cake. Since February, I have make 5 cakes and have atleast 2 more lined up.
I love doing this and I absolutely love the challenge. I know that I can make a cake out of anything that I can draw. It's such a reward to see the end product and especially to see the faces on the people that I make them for.
