I made this cake for Nephew's 2nd Birthday! Complete hit!! He turned out so good!! I had so much fun making this cake! I loved the challenge!!

Present Cake

I made this cake for Kaitlyn, who turned 9 today. It turned out so cute and perfect! Everyone loved it! I am very pleased with how this cake turned out! Plus, it was so much fun to make! I just love it!!

My First Wedding Cake

I made this cake for my mom's surprise party! It was a hit!!

Flip Flops

My mom is now '50 & Fabulous'! I thought that flip flops would be perfect for her because she loves the beaches of the world... I snuck into her office, decorated it and left this cake on her desk. She loved it!!

Purse Cake for the Relief Society Birthday Dinner

Here is the Purse cake that I made for the Relief Society Birthday Dinner. It turned out really cute. The only thing I really didn't like about it was the fact that it was vanilla frosting on my yummy homemade chocolate cake. I needed the frosting to be pink, so vanilla was the way to go. I think I will experiment with making a white chocolate frosting because it just doesn't taste as good with vanilla frosting. Besides that it was great!! The flower was the perfect touch!!

Purse Cake (with fondant)

I wanted to try fondant instead of frosting because I felt that the fondant would give the purse a more 'real' look. I made marshmallow fondant and felt pretty confident in it, but not confident enough to use it of the Relief Society Birthday Cake that I made. This was a test. I think it turned out great, but couldn't get the fondant to be perfectly smooth, which is only to be expected being my first fondant cake. I definitely want more practice with fondant. It just happened to be Mother's Day weekend when I made this practice cake, so it turned out great! My family loved it!!
